Show joint capital or current accounts for partnerships in Accounts Production Advanced
- For the partners whose accounts you want to show combined, make sure you've posted their share of equity to the capital and/or current accounts 1 and 2.noteFor partner 1, you should use 910.00 to 919.00, and for Partner 2 920.00 to 929.00.
- Open the partnership accounts in theReportstab.
- To show joint capital accounts, take the following steps.
- In the Report Structure, go toStandard Partnership Accounts,Financial Statements,Notes to the Financial Statements, thenCapital account.

- Right-clickCapital account values, then selectPropertiesfrom the context menu.
- SelectXML Source.
- Delete the existing code and replace it with the code in our Joint Capital Account Values text file.
- SelectOKto save the change and update the accounts.
- If you want to combine the drawings analysis, right-clickCapital account drawings analysis, selectPropertiesfrom the context menu, then replace the XML Source with the code in our Joint Capital Account Drawings Analysis text file.
- SelectOKto save the change and update the accounts.
- To show joint current accounts, take the following steps.
- In the Report Structure, go toStandard Partnership Accounts,Financial Statements,Notes to the Financial Statements, thenCurrent account.
- Right-clickCurrent account values, then selectPropertiesfrom the context menu.
- SelectXML Source.
- Delete the existing code and replace it with the code in our Joint Current Account Values text file.
- SelectOKto save the change and update the accounts.
- If you want to combine the drawings analysis, right-clickCurrent account drawings analysis, selectPropertiesfrom the context menu, then replace the XML Source with the code in our Joint Current Account Drawings Analysis.
- SelectOKto save the change and update the accounts.
The following example shows how the partnership accounts will be updated if you chose to combine capital accounts. Accounts Production Advanced shows Partners 1 and Partner 2's names and their combined amounts in column 1, deletes column 2, and turns off the total column. You'll get similar results for current accounts.
