Error: Duplicate codes in external entity
Scenario
You may get the following error message when you try to add the parent company to the consolidation:

Solution
To clear this error message, you'll need to run a script against the Accounts Production Advanced database.
note
- If Accounts Production Advanced is running on Digita Virtual Office (DVO), contact Customer Support to ask them to run the script against the database.
- If Accounts Production Advanced is hosted on a different hosted environment to DVO, you'll need to give these steps to the hosted provider.
- Use the Digita Database Back Up Tool to make a backup of your Accounts Production Advanced database on your server for network installs, or on your main machine for standalone installs.
- Download our Duplicate entity error script.
- Extract the contents of the ZIP folder.
- Run the script on the Accounts Production database on the server machine, or on your local machine if it's installed on the standalone machine.
