IXBRL warnings after upgrade to UK FRS 102 version 25 in Accounts Production Advanced

Scenario

After upgrading to UK FRS 102 version 25, you may get the following warning message when viewing a report.
Error message
core:RestatemntsFirstTimeAdoptionDimension = core:OriginalAmountDefault

Cause

UK FRS 102 version 25 contains the 2023 IXBRL taxonomy, which means that many report templates need to be updated. If a template within a report has been changed, at the client or practice level, this will prevent you from applying the update and you'll get IXBRL warnings on the report.
To clear these warnings, use the following solution options, depending on the changes made to the template.

Solution option 1: Check the template within the client report for changes and consider reverting these changes

  1. On the report, right-click the template, then select
    Highlight in report structure
    .
  2. In the report structure, right-click the highlighted template, then select
    Compare with template
    .
  3. Review the base template:
    • If it's acceptable, close the window and continue to step 4
    • If it's not acceptable, follow solution 3.
  4. Right-click the highlighted template, then select
    Revert to template
    .
  5. Repeat for all affected templates.

Solution option 2: If the client template hasn’t been changed from the practice template

  1. Sign in to Accounts Production Advanced with administrator rights.
  2. Select the
    Template entities
     tab.
  3. Double-click the
    Practice UK FRS 102 Master
     template or the equivalent template used by the practice.
  4. Run the report that had the error at client level.
  5. Go to the affected templates in the report structure.
  6. If the text of an affected template has bold black text and you've not amended it within the practice, right-click it, then select
    Revert to template
    .
  7. Repeated for all affected elements.
  8. Close the report.
  9. Select
    Financial Period Templates
    , then
    Publish current period as a template
    .
  10. Select
    Yes
    , then
    Yes
     again to complete the update.
  11. Open the client data set.
  12. Select
    Update
     next to the update bar.
  13. When the update has been applied, run the report.

Solution option 3: For reports updated for display purposes — change the report template manually

  1. View the report element in
    Edit IXBRL
     mode.
  2. Double-click on the table to open the
    Design Smart Table
     window.
  3. Point the cursor over the prior period column heading, then select
    Tag Column
    .
  4. In the
    Edit XBRL Tag
     window:
    1. Select
      Hypercube – Basic
       from the
      Dimension Set
       dropdown list.
    2. Select the
      Restatements and first time adoption [Dimension]
       ellipsis button, then select
      Currently stated amount [default]
      .
  5. Select
    OK
    , then
    OK
     again to close the window and update the report.
  6. If you made the change at practice level, republish the template, then update the client to the new template.
