UK FRS 102 version 25 known issue — Support Bulletin 09/11/2023

UK FRS 102 version 25 contains the 2023 iXBRL taxonomy, which has required updates to many of the report templates. Where there's been an amendment to a template within a report, at client or practice level, this will block the update from being applied and result in iXBRL warnings to the right of the report with warnings similar to these: 
core:RestatementsFirstTimeAdoptionDimension = core:OriginalAmountDefault.
You can use the following solutions to resolved these warnings.

Solution 1 — Refer to the template in the client report to check if it's been edited and can be reverted to template.

  1. Right-click the template, on the report, and select
    Highlight in report structure
    .
  2. Right-click the template highlighted in the report structure, then select
    Compare with template
    .
  3. If the base template in the main window is acceptable, close the window and proceed to the next step below. If it's not acceptable, go to solution 3.
  4. Right-click the highlighted template, then select
    Revert to template
    .
  5. Repeat for all affected templates.

Solution 2 — If the template within the client report has not been changed from the practice template

  1. Sign in to Accounts Production Advanced with administrator rights.
  2. Select the
    Template entities
     tab.
  3. Double-click the Practice UK FRS 102 Master template template, or the equivalent template used by the practice, to open it.
  4. Run the report that had the error in it at client level.
  5. Go to the affected template(s) in the Report structure.
  6. If the affected template has bold black text and has not been knowingly amended within the practice, right-click it then select
    Revert to template
    .
  7. Repeated the previous steps for all amended elements which have been amended.
  8. Close the report.
  9. Select
    Financial Period Templates
    , then
    Publish current period as a template
    .
  10. Select
    Yes
    , then
    Yes
     again to complete the update.
  11. Re-open the client data, then select
    Update
     on the update bar.
  12. Once the update has been applied, re-run the report.

Solution 3 — If reports have been knowingly amended for display purposes

  1. View the report element in
    Edit iXBRL
     mode.
  2. Double-click on the table to open the
    Design Smart Table
     window.
  3. Point to the
    Prior period
     column heading, then select
    Tag Column
    .
  4. In the
    Edit XBRL Tag
     window, select
    Hypercube - Basic
     from the
    Dimension Set
     dropdown list.
  5. Select the ellipsis button in the
    Restatements and first time adoption [Dimension]
     row.
  6. Select
    Currently stated amount [default]
    .
  7. Select
    OK
     to close the window and update the report.
  8. If the change is made at practice level, you'll need to republish the template and updated the client to the new template.
