ROI FRS 102 and ROI IFRS template updates — Release Bulletin 11/04/24

We've released the following template updates:
  • ROI FRS 102, version 18.
  • ROI IFRS, version 18.

Updates common to both company templates

  • You can choose to disclose officers interests in a paragraph, rather than a table.
    tip
    To enter the information, go to the
    Disclosures
     tab,
    Director's report
    ,
    Directors interest in shares and material transactions
    , then use the
    Officers interests (text disclosure)
      box.
  • You can record the average number of employees of the company as zero.

Updates for the IFRS company template

We've updated the accounting policy description from 'significant' to 'material' accounting policies, which reflects the change to IAS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements.

Install new templates

Before installing the update, check that your installation of Accounts Production Advanced is version 6.30.9574.38 or above. To check the version, open the application and go to

If you need to update Accounts Production Advanced, go to our Product downloads page.
When you're satisfied that you have the required version of Accounts Production Advanced, take the following steps to download the template updates:
tip
We recommend that you install content updates when no-one else is using the software, preferably towards the end of the day because the process can take time.
  1. Sign in as a user with administrator permissions.
    note
    Alternatively select the
    New Content Available
     message that appears whenever there are content updates.
  2. Select
    Tools
    , then
    Content downloads
    .
  3. Mark the checkbox for the content updates you want.
    tip
    We recommend that you leave the
    Update and Publish Template Entities
     checkbox marked. This will mean that the application will update all your Practice Master Templates automatically.
  4. Select
    Install
    .
  5. Once the installation is complete, you can update clients individually or use batch update.
    note
    It's good practice to use
    Batch Update
      to update templates and create new periods for multiple clients rather than individually. By using
    Batch Update
    , you can start the process at the end of the day and have everything completed and ready for the next day.

Known issues

  • If you export reports to Excel, you'll need to clear the checkbox for the
    Contents
     page template in the
    Report structure
    .
  • If you export a report to Word that has less than 3 signatories, you'll need to use the vertical presentation for the report, otherwise the export will end at the signatories.
