Add or remove brackets from figures
You can change the presentation of figures in your accounts reports so that brackets are added or removed to show a credit or debit.
- Right-click on the table that contains the brackets you want to remove, then selectHighlight in report structurefrom the context menu.
- In theReport Structure, right-click on the template you've highlighted and selectViewfrom the context menu.
- SelectDesignto view the template in Design Mode.
- Double-click on the data you want to change.
- Double-click on the figures you want to change.The Edit Section dialog has groups of controls forShow section breakdownandShow section total. If your template has a breakdown and a total, you'll need to choose options from both these sections.
- Select eitherDebitorCreditin theShow section breakdownandShow section totaloptions to add or remove brackets from the figures.Example

- SelectOK, thenOKagain.
- SelectPreviewto return to Preview mode.
- SelectFull reportto run the report.
- If the values you've changed are tagged for iXBRL purposes, then you'll also need to take the following steps to reverse the tags on the values to reflect your changes.
- Right-click on the table that contains the brackets you want to remove, then selectHighlight in report structurefrom the context menu.
- In theReport Structure, right-click on the template you've highlighted, then selectViewfrom the context menu.
- SelectEdit XBRLto view the template in Edit XBRL mode.
- Double-click the part of the report you've changed.
- Move the cursor to the left until you can reveal and select theTag sectionbutton.
- Select one of the rows in the iXBRL section, thenEdit.noteThe rows that make up the iXBRL section have a blue background.
- Mark theReverse signcheckbox, then selectOK.Example

- Repeat steps 15 and 16 until you've reversed the tag for all the rows in the iXBRL section.
- SelectOKin all windows to close them and save your changes.When you run the report inPreviewmode the report will be shown withe the correct iXBRL tags.
