Create a dormant LLP report

Accounts Production Advanced doesn’t provide a dedicated dormant LLP report. You can adapt an existing LLP template report for a dormant client by editing specific report elements and XML.
The information described was tested using the Companies House validator tool, but official Companies House guidance was not sought. Use discretion when applying these changes.
Prerequisites:
  • You have an LLP template report available in Accounts Production Advanced.
  • You have the required replacement XML snippets for the Cover Page and Audit Exemption sections.
  1. Replace the Cover Page XML.
    1. In
      Report Structure
      , right-click
      Cover Page
      and select
      Properties
      .
    2. Select the
      XML Source
      tab.
    3. Delete the existing XML and paste the provided
      Cover page XML replacement
      .
    4. Select
      OK
      to save and update the report.
  2. Update the Audit Exemption element for dormant filing.
    1. In
      Report Structure
      , expand
      Financial Statements
      , then the
      Balance Sheet
      .
    2. Right-click
      Audit exemption under s477
      and select
      Copy
      .
    3. Right-click the original element and set
      Display
      to
      Never
      .
    4. Right-click the duplicated element and set
      Display
      to
      Always
      .
    5. Right-click the duplicated element, select
      Properties
      , and rename it to
      Audit exemption under s480
      .
    6. Select the
      XML Source
      tab.
    7. Delete the existing XML and paste the provided
      Audit exemption XML replacement
      .
    8. Select
      OK
      to save. Re-export the accounts and file with Companies House.
The report is updated to support dormant LLP filing based on the edited template content and replacement XML.
Validate the exported accounts and verify the final filing content before submission.
