UK FRS 102 version 25 and UK IFRS version 28 template updates — Support Bulletin 02/11/2023

We're releasing the following template updates:
  • ROI FRS 102, version 25
  • ROI IFR, version 28.

Features common to both templates

  • We've updated all reports to use the 2023 iXBRL taxonomy.
  • On the statement of changes in equity, the column heading names are now linked to the category names within the balance category structure, equity section. If you amend the external name of the category, this will update the report.
  • There are now 2 copies of the statement of changes in equity for each year. One with iXBRL tagging for adjustments/restatements and one without these tags.

Impact on existing clients

As many templates in the reports have updated iXBRL taxonomy, where you've amended templates at client or practice level, you'll need to revert back to the default template to make sure the taxonomy update is applied.

Known issues

  • Before you export reports Excel you'll need to clear the
    Contents page
     template checkbox in the Report structure.
  • When you export a report to Word, unless the report includes 3 or more signatories, use the vertical presentation otherwise the export will end at the signatories.
  • We've updated disclosures in the
    Income tax
     note for
    tax reconciliation
     and
    Deferred tax assets, liabilities and movements
    . As a result, if you've customised these tables, you may to select
    revert to template
     to re-establish the link to the
    Disclosure
     tab.

Template installation

Before installing the update, Accounts Production Advanced must be version 6.30.9574.38 or above. To check, open your application and go to

Before installing the template update, take the following steps to remove any test data that remains in the last UK FRS 102 template:
  1. Open
    Practice UK FRS 102 Master
     template.
  2. Select the
    Disclosures
     tab.
  3. Select the
    Dividends
     link.
  4. Delete any data in the cells on the
    Dividends
     or
    Dividends paid
     tabs.
  5. Select
    OK
     and close the data set.
  6. Proceed with download and installation of the template update.
Go to the Product downloads page to download the latest versions of Digita applications.
To download template updates:
  1. Sign in as a user with administrator permissions.
  2. Select
    Tools
    , then
    Content downloads
    .
  3. Select
    Install
    .
