Errors: 9172, 9200, 3320, 9288, and MD5 when you file computations from Corporation Tax Advanced

Scenario

You may get the following one of the following error messages when you attempt to file a computation from Corporation Tax Advanced.
Error message
  • 9172:
    Box 265 must be less than or equal to Box 830.
  • 9200:
    If the type of company is "0", then applicable tax rate must be used
    .
  • 3320: T
    he period to which this Return's Computation applies does not coincide with the effective from/to dates of the referenced Computation Taxonomy. Please correct and re-submit.
  • 9288:
    The sum of Boxes 690 and 735 must not exceed the apportioned AIA limit.
  • 1047: MD5 is not supported, please contact your software supplier.
  • Error starting: Failed to initialise Namespace.
  • Error starting: Failed to initialise Schemas.

Cause

The likely cause of errors 9172, 9200, 3320, and 9288 is a change in tax rates that is not reflected in the version of Corporation Tax Advanced you have.
The likely cause of the 1047: MD5 error is a change made to HMRC's servers.

Solution

  1. Select
    Help
    , then
    About Digita Corporation Tax
    .
  2. Select the
    General
     tab.
  3. Check that you have installed the latest version of Corporation Tax Advanced.
  4. If you needed to update Corporation Tax Advanced, try to file the computations again after the update.
  5. If Corporation Tax Advanced is up to date and you still get the errors, make sure that the tax logic is also up to date.
  6. If the error persists, contact Digita Customer Support for further assistance.
