Error: Generic dimension member (bus:Director/Company Secretary) has no associated name or description item in Corporation Tax
Scenario
You may get the following error message when you try to file with Corporation Tax.

Generic dimension member (bus:Director/Company Secretary) has no associated name or description item
Causes
This error message can be caused by either or both of the following:
- An older template assigned to the client inAccounts Production Advanced(orAccounts Production, if you use this application).
- The report not being one of default reports inAccounts Production Advanced(orAccounts Production, if you use this application).
We recommend that you try the following 2 solutions in order.
Solution 1: Check and update the template
- InAccounts Production AdvancedorAccounts Production, selectFinancial Period Templates, thenTemplate Manager.
- In the Template Manager table, select theUK FRS 102section.noteThis will show aPractice UK FRS 102 Mastersubsection. Check that the client and financial period you are trying to file is included in this list.
- Check that the number in the Version column of thisUK FRS 102section is the same number as the most recent version of UK FRS 102.
- If you do not find the latest version ofUK FRS 102in the Template Manager list:
- SelectTools, thenContent Downloadsto add it.
- Open the client and selectUpdate.
Solution 2: Check the report used is a default report
- Open the client inAccounts Production Advanced(orAccounts Productionif you're using that application).
- Select theReportstab.
- Check that you are using one of the following default reports from the Reports List:
- FRS 102 Consolidated Financial Statements.
- FRS 102 Dormant Financial Statements.
- FRS 102 Financial Statements.
- FRS 102 Section 1A – bridged Financial Statements.
- FRS 102 Section 1A – Small Entities.
- If you're not using one of the default reports, take the followings steps:
- Open the default report that's an equivalent to the report you are using.
- Go to theRelated Party Transactionsnote.
- Right-click on the tables in the note and selectGo To XMLfrom the context menu.
- Copy all the XML, then close the report.
- Open the non-default report you're using, right-click on the tables in theRelated Party Transactionsnote, and selectGo to XML.
- Delete the existing XML, then paste the XML that you copied from the default report.noteOnce all tables in theRelated Party Transactionsnote have the latest XML code you should be able to file without getting this error.
