Import accounts in a CSV file
To import a CSV file containing accounts, you'll need to map each row of the file to a corresponding row in Corporation Tax.
note
You can only map 1 row of the CSV file to 1 location in Corporation Tax. However, the figures in the detailed profit and loss account don't combine to form the adjusted profit. Therefore, you'll need more than 1 import to populate adjusted profit for the tax computation and detailed profit and loss account.
- Format the CSV file
- Check that the CSV file has the correct columns.note
- Column A: nominal code
- Column B: nominal code description
- Column C: financial value as a positive
If the figures in the spreadsheet are all positive, then when importing into the detailed profit and loss account values, you'll need to mark expenses as negative by marking theMake +vecolumn. - Import accounts data
