Downloading and applying updates
Digita FileCabinet checks for updates at a scheduled time, and downloads and installs all updates automatically when Digita FileCabinet Background Services are enabled. However, you can download and apply updates at any time, either by changing the default scheduled time of 3 a.m. eastern time (choose Setup > System Configuration, and then click the Digita FileCabinet + Misc tab) or by following these steps.

If you access Digita FileCabinet through Digita Virtual Office, you do not need to use Digita Connect to download and apply updates.
- Verify that all other users have closed Digita FileCabinet, all other Digita Professional Suite applications, and all Microsoft Office applications, and that the computer you use to apply updates is logged in to the network.
- Choose File > Digita Connect .
- Select theCall Digita Connectoption, and then click theNowoption.
- Mark theRetrieve available updatescheckbox.
- Select the Call Now button to log in to our secure data centres and download all available application updates.
- In the Digita Connect dialog, click theApply Updatesoption.
- Select theNowoption.
- Select the Apply Updates button.
