Repair / File Locks tab

This tab is used to clear file locks that restrict access to a specific user, embedded object, screen, checked out drawers, or file locks that prevent a user from starting Digita FileCabinet.
To open this tab, choose Help > Repair and click the File Locks tab.
After clicking the appropriate option, highlight the user, embedded object, checked out drawer, or screen for which you want to delete an associated lock and click the Delete Lock button.
note
  • Depending on your security configuration, you may be required to enter the master password and click OK before you can open the Repair dialog.
  • When you are viewing Digita FileCabinet documents from within other Digita Professional Suite applications, a user lock is created even if Digita FileCabinet is not currently running on your machine.

Fields & buttons

User locks
Click this option to list all of the users currently using Digita FileCabinet.
Embedded object locks
Click this option to list all embedded objects that are currently open in Digita FileCabinet.
Screen locks
Certain screens (such as the Edit Group and Edit User dialogs) can be opened by only one user at a time. Click the
Screen locks
option to list all such screens that are currently open in Digita FileCabinet.
Checked out drawers
Click this option to list all client drawers that are currently checked out in Digita FileCabinet.
User / Embedded object / Screen lock / Checked out drawers listing
  • If the
    User locks
    option is selected, all of the users currently using Digita FileCabinet are listed.
  • If the
    Embedded object locks
    option is selected, all embedded objects that are currently open in Digita FileCabinet are listed.
  • If the
    Screen locks
    option is selected, all screens that are currently locked are listed.
  • if the
    Checked out drawers
    option is selected, all client drawers currently checked out within Digita FileCabinet are listed.
Delete Lock button
Click this button to delete the network lock for the user, embedded object, screen, or checked out drawer highlighted in the list.
