Error: Service unable to provide data in Personal Tax

Scenario

Solution stage 1: Check integration services.

In Personal Tax, go to
Tools
,
Integration
, then
Options
.
Select the
Services
tab.
In the Available Integration Services table, check if there's a Service that matches the service type referred to in the error message.
note
The example error message in this help topic refers to 'Accounts data', so you'll need to an 'Accounting Data' Service listed in the Available Integration Services table.
Close Integration Options.
If there's an integration Service for the data type, follow the steps in Solution option 2a. If not, follow Solution option 2b.

Solution option 2a: If the service is listed

In Personal Tax, select
File
, then
Disconnect Clients
.
Select the client that's causing the error and follow the steps to disconnect.
Select
File
,
Share Clients
, then follow the steps to reconnect
The following are optional steps and will depend on which type of data is causing the problem:
In Accounts Production Advanced, open the client that's causing the error.
Select
Integration
, then
Unlink
.
Select
Integration
, then
Link
.
Restart Accounts Production Advanced and Personal Tax.

Solution option 2b: If the service is not listed

Open File Explorer.
Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Digita Shared\Integration\v2.1
Right-click
Configuration.exe
and select
Run as Administrator
from the context menu.
In the Integration Configuration dialog, select
Edit
,
Add
, then
Provider Service
.
Enter the following for Accounts Production:
Application Name:
Digita Accounts Production

Service:
Accounts Data
.
Instance Name:
Default
.
Instance Indentifier:
Digita Accounts Production
.
Transport:
Local In-Memory.
Location:

Enter the following for Accounts Production Advanced:

Close the Integration Configuration dialog.
