Add a Note element to an Information Request in Personal tax

  1. Open an active client, with a current tax return.
  2. Go to
    Reports
    , then
    Manage Reports
    .
  3. In the Folder: Form section, right-click
    Information request (Person) (default)
    and select
    Copy Report to
    , then
    Practice reports
    from the context menu.
  4. Right-click
    Copy of Information Request (Person)
    and select
    Edit Report
    from the context menu.
  5. Highlight the folder you want to add the note to.
  6. Select
    New
    , then
    Note
    from the
    Options
    dropdown list.
  7. Select the
    Text
    tab
  8. Enter the text of your note in the
    Heading
    and
    Note
    fields.
The new item is shown at the end of the list. You can use the
Up
and
Down
buttons to move it.
