Convert a Sole Trade to Business Tax business if Integration is used in Personal Tax
Before you convert a sole trade to a business tax business, you'll need to have a full 12-month accounting period for the client.

If you intend to convert the sole trade to a business tax business in preparation for a conversion to a partnership, you'll also need a full 12-month accounting period as a business tax business, so consider carefully which accounting period you need to convert.
- Disconnect the client from Integration:
- SelectFile, thenCloseto close the client.
- SelectFile, thenDisconnect Clients.
- Select the client, then selectOK.
- Convert the client from a sole trade to business tax business:
- SelectEdit, thenSchedule Editor.
- SelectSole Trade, thenEdit.
- Select the sole trade, then selectConvert.
- Enter the first accounting period you want to process for the client as a business tax business.
- Integrate the client with Practice Management:
- SelectFile, thenCloseto close the client.
- SelectFile, thenShare Clients.
- Select the client, thenOK.
- SelectFinish.
