Task Tracking report

This report is available only if you are licensed for the Project Management module.
The Task Tracking report shows staff the tasks that they need to complete for a project, and by when. Staff can use this report when they need to know if they can begin a task and whether the preceding task(s) have been completed. This report shows which employees are assigned to different projects, and it is effective in showing which tasks are ready to begin, who is working on them, and status of the tasks.
This report will always detail task information. It can be grouped by staff, task, client or project information.

Click any field in the report to open the Task dialog.
To view and print the Task Tracking report, choose File > Print Reports. In the Print Reports screen, click Task Tracking in the available reports pane, and then click the Select button.
Information on this report includes the following:
  • ID, Client Name
    : The ID and sort name of the client assigned to the project at setup.
  • Project No.
    : The number assigned to the Project at setup.
  • Project Description
    : The description of the project from project setup at the client level.
  • Staff
    : The ID of the staff member assigned to the task at setup.
  • Activity
    The activity assigned to the task at setup.
  • Ready
    : This field contains Y or N depending on whether the task that precedes it has a completed date.
  • Target Start
    : Assigned to the task at task setup at the client level.
  • Bdgt Hrs
    : The budget hours based on the project setup at the client level.
  • Target Complete
    : Assigned to the task at task setup at the client level.
  • Tracking
    : Assigned to the task at task setup at the client level. If the task is marked Completed, the date also appears in this column.
Important security note
When you enable security privileges for a report on the Security Groups setup screen, Digita Practice Advanced may also enable privileges to view the data available on the report. Conversely, removing privileges for viewing data may also remove privileges for related reports. Consult the
Privileges changed
pane on the Security Groups setup screen to see all privilege changes that are triggered by enabling access to a report.
For this report, if no privileges are already enabled for the following security option(s), full privileges will be enabled.
  • Data > Projects > View
If your firm has multiple offices, you may want to rescind privileges to information for other offices.
