Getting started with Digita NetFirm
This topic presents an outline of the steps to follow to Customise the appearance of portals, to enable your staff and your clients to access their portals, and to set up client portals and staff portals.

The information in this topic applies only to Digita NetStaff users who have access to Digita NetFirm administration. If you do not see an Admin tab in the navigation pane, you cannot perform the tasks outlined in this topic.
Initial Digita NetFirm administration tasks
Before you begin setting up client portals and staff portals, you need to Customise the appearance of portals and enable clients to access portals. You might also want to create a Digita NetClient demonstration portal that you can use to introduce your clients to Digita NetClient and to train your staff.
- Customise the portal login screen.

- Enable users to link portals.
Setting up client portals
- Determine which Digita NetClient modules are appropriate for your clients.
- Add client portals.
- Optional:Designate the appropriate client portals as private portals — Only your firm’s primary Digita NetFirm administrator can view private client portals through Digita NetFirm administration.The primary Digita NetFirm administrator is the person who was designated as your firm's Digita NetFirm administrator on the purchase agreement.
- Optional:Add Digita NetClient groups to give groups of users access to Digita NetClient modules.
- Modify each Digita NetClient user’s access to modules.
Setting up staff portals
- Determine which Digita NetStaff modules are appropriate for your staff.
- Add staff portals.
- Optional:Add Digita NetStaff groups to give groups of users access to Digita NetStaff modules.
- Modify each Digita NetStaff user’s access to modules.
- Enable Digita NetStaff users to work in the Digita Virtual Office environment.
- Give administrative privileges to Digita NetStaff users.
