Modifying a Digita NetStaff group’s access to modules

You can assign Digita NetStaff users to groups, and give the groups access to modules.
note
The Digita NetStaff [System Group] includes all Digita NetStaff users. You can give all current and future Digita NetStaff users access to modules through this group.
- If you haven’t already done so, add a Digita NetStaff group.
- In the Admin tab of the navigation pane, click theGroupslink in the Digita NetStaff section.noteIf you don’t see this link, you don’t have access to this area.
- In the Groups list, enter any part of the group name in theFindfield and click the group name. Digita NetFirm displays the group’s information on the right.tipDelete the entry from theFindfield to view the full list of groups.
- In the Permissions section, you can enable modules, disable modules, and modify module permissions. A permissions dialog opens when you click the Enable or Disable button. Click the name of a module below to learn about its permissions.noteThe Digita Virtual Office module and the Staff Availability module do not have permissions dialogs.Document PresentationDigita NetFirm lists all of the drawers that were designated as contributors to Digita NetClient the last time your firm placed a call to Digita Connect.Do one of the following.OptionStepsGive the group access to Document Presentation files in all drawers
- Click the All Drawers button.
- Click Enter.
Modify the group’s access to Document Presentation drawers- Under the Access Permissions heading, click the Selected button.
- Mark the checkboxes for the drawers that contain Document Presentation files that members of the group need to access, and clear the checkboxes for drawers that contain files that group members no longer need to access.
- Click Enter.
File Exchange- Mark the checkbox for each folder that contains files that members of the group need to access, and clear the checkbox for each folder that contains files that group members no longer need to access.
- Click Enter.
Links- Mark theReadcheckbox for any private Links module that members of the group need to access, and clear the checkbox for any module that group members no longer need to access.noteEach user must create his own links in any private Links module. As a result, Digita NetFirm marks and grays theEditcheckbox when you mark theReadcheckbox for a private Links module.
- Mark the Edit checkbox for any public Links module that members of this group will be responsible for updating.noteTheEditcheckbox is available only after you mark the adjacentReadcheckbox.
- Click Enter.
News- Mark theReadcheckbox for any module that members of the group need to access, and clear the checkbox for any module that group members no longer need to access.
- Mark theEditcheckbox for any News module that members of this group will be responsible for updating.noteTheEditcheckbox is available only when the adjacentReadcheckbox is marked.
- Click Enter.
