Configuring Outlook 2010 in Digita Virtual Office

Follow these steps to configure Microsoft Outlook 2010 in Digita Virtual Office.
- In the navigation pane, click theApplicationslink and then click the Microsoft Outlook icon.noteIf you don't see these items, you don't have access to Microsoft Outlook through Digita Virtual Office.
- In Microsoft Outlook, click the File tab in the ribbon, and then click the Account Settings icon and choose Account Settings.
- In the E-mail tab of the Account Settings dialog, click the New button to add the email account.
- In the Choose Service page, click theE-mail Accountoption and click Next.
- In the Auto Account Setup page, mark theManually configure server settings or additional server typesoption and click Next.
- In the Choose Service page, click theInternet E-mailoption and click Next.
- In the appropriate fields in the Internet E-mail Settings page, enter the information from your HTTP mail account or your POP3 mail account.HTTP mail accountsAlthough this dialog contains aRemember passwordcheckbox, Outlook has a limitation regarding remembering passwords across a multi-server terminal server setup. Therefore, this option will not work in the Digita Virtual Office environment.POP3 mail accountsEnter the following information for POP3 email accounts.FieldEntryYour Name<First name> <Last name>E-mail address<Username@domain.com> (Example: Bob@comcast.net)Incoming mail servereg-popproxy.portal.localOutgoing mail server (SMTP)relay.edc.cust.servicesUser Name<Username>#<email provider's POP server> (Example: Bob#mail.comcast.net)See Notes section below for more information about entering the user name.Password<The password assigned by your administrator>noteAlthough this dialog contains aRemember passwordcheckbox, Outlook has a limitation regarding remembering passwords across a multi-server terminal server setup. - If you are using Yahoo Mail Plus, enter the username as follows: <username>#plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com. Note that <username> is only the beginning of the email address. For example, if your email address is bob@yahoo.com, you would enter bob#plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com.
- Some email providers use the entire email address as the username, for example: bob@sbcglobal.com#pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com.
- Some email providers' POP servers use a non-standard port. In such a case, you can append another # followed by the port number, for example: bob#mail.comcast.net#1100.
- To configure additional settings, such as how you want your computer to connect to the mail server, click the More Settings button and make the appropriate changes.
- If you are adding a POP3 server account, click the Test Account Settings button to verify that the account is working. If missing or inaccurate information has been entered (such as an incorrect password), you will be prompted to supply or correct the information.
- Click Next and then click Finish.

To change Outlook options and default settings, such as the default font, choose File > Options.
