Share content from a module

Users can distribute links to site content via sharing options available in Collaborate. Shareable content includes Wiki pages, content in the Files module, Blog posts, Events and Tasks.

To share content navigate to
More actions

Share

Share

Here you will have access to different sharing options.

Share as an email

By default, the
Email
tab is selected:
Enter, the recipients' email address, a subject and an optional message. Select
Send
to share via email.

Share as a link

Click the
Link
tab to display the link options:
Select
Select
link to select the full link, and then either use Ctrl+c or Cmd+c to copy the link.
Select the
Use short URL
checkbox to shorten the URL before copying.

Share as a message

You can share content in a message within Collaborate. Click the
Message
tab to display the message options:
Enter the
Recipients
and the
Message
, then select
Send
.

Share as a microblog

You can share content as a microblog within Collaborate. Click the
Microblog
tab to display the microblog options:
Enter the
Message
and the site(s) you want to create the microblog post on and select
Post
.

Receiving an email with shared content

You will receive a confirmation that the email was sent, with a list of the email addresses of every recipient. Also, each recipient will receive an email and can click on the embedded link to view the content.
The recipient must first authenticate themselves if their login information has not been saved, using the login prompt. If a logged-in user does not have permission to view the content, they will be presented with a warning message.
