Card view

Use
Card
 view projects or tasks in stage-based columns and update key details in a visual workflow board.

Overview

The card view shows the same project and task information as the grid view. Instead of rows in a list, it displays each project or task as a card. Cards are grouped into columns by stage. Each column heading shows the stage name and the number of items in that stage. Both views stay in sync, so changes in 1 view appear immediately in the other.
Switching dashboards
: Use the dropdown at the top left of the card view to switch between dashboards:
  • Status dashboard
    : Groups cards by their current project/task status, so you can view where projects/tasks are in your workflow.
  • Due date dashboard
    : At a glance, team members can view which projects/tasks are approaching their internal deadlines.
  • Start date dashboard
    : Useful for planning, letting you view projects/tasks grouped by when work is scheduled to begin.

Missed deadlines (projects only)

A warning icon appears next to the project name if the submission deadline has passed and the project is not complete. This helps you spot overdue projects quickly as you scroll through the cards. No filter is needed.
What's on each card
: Every card displays a consistent set of information:
Tasks
  • The client name.
  • The task name, which is a clickable link that takes you directly into the Task details.
Projects
  • The client name.
  • The project name, which is a clickable link that takes you directly into the Project details.
  • A status badge in the corner of the card, colour-coded to reflect the current project status.

Inline editing

You can update the following fields directly on the card without needing to open the project:
  • Assigned to
    : Use the dropdown to assign or reassign the project or task to a team member. If no one is assigned, the field shows Not set.
  • Start date
    : Set or update the internal start date using the date picker.
  • Due date
    : Set or update the internal due date using the date picker.
Changes made inline take effect immediately and are reflected across the grid view too.
Quick Filters and Search
: The same quick filters and Search available in the grid view are also available in the card view, and work in the same way.
