Project details

View project information, track task progress, and open related tasks from a single page with status and assignment details.

Overview

Open the project details by selecting the project name in the grid view or card view. In the grid view, you can also open them from the Actions menu. There, you can view the main project information and all tasks for that project, including their current progress.

Project header

At the top of the page, you'll view the project name, the client, and the current status badge. It gives you a quick snapshot of where the project is at. Then you can look through the tasks in more detail.

Project details

On the left-hand side, the project details panel is displayed. To amend any of these details, select the
Edit details
link.
Following this, a 2nd panel shows additional reference information. This information can't be edited from this screen.

Task progress

The task progress panel gives you a full picture of how the project is tracking. A progress bar at the top shows the percentage of tasks completed along with a count.
Tasks can be filtered using the tabs beneath the progress bar:
  • All
    : shows every task on the project.
  • Completed
    : tasks that have been finished.
  • In progress
    : tasks currently being worked on.
  • Awaiting client
    : tasks that are on hold pending client action.
  • Not started
    : tasks that haven’t yet been picked up.

Task cards

Each individual task is displayed as a row, showing:
  • The task name, which is a clickable link to open the Task details.
  • The number of businesses the task applies to.

This is only relevant for MTD projects.
  • The person to whom the task is assigned.
  • The date the task was completed.
  • A status badge so you can view the state of each task at a glance.
If a task has a lightning bolt icon , Digita Personal Tax updates it automatically. Additionally, Workflow Manager understands the logic of a tax return. If you manually complete a later task in a project, the system will automatically mark earlier, prerequisite tasks as completed to keep the workflow moving.
