Onboarding for MTD

Turn on your team's Making Tax Digital (MTD) access in Thomson Reuters Digita Personal Tax and Onvio. Follow these steps:
note
MTD launch is planned for 2 April 2026, as part of the Digita Personal Tax v26.0 update. In preparation, Step 1 can be completed in advance of the launch. The remaining steps will be accessible after the launch date.

Step 1: Set up your users on Thomson Reuters Onvio

To access MTD, you'll need an Onvio account. If you don't have an Onvio account, we'll contact you with a registration invitation.
note
This MTD-only Onvio access is complimentary for DPT customers.
New Onvio users
We'll send an invitation for Onvio registration to the person in your firm who signs Thomson Reuters order forms. Following the instructions for account setup, you can sign up as the Onvio Firm Administrator. To assist with this process, watch the instructional video detailing setting up user access.
The Onvio Firm Administrator can add additional team members who need access to MTD. To assist with this process, watch the instructional video detailing setting up user access.
Contact our Support line if you would like to change your assigned Onvio Firm Administrator and for any other setup queries.
Existing Onvio users
Your Onvio Firm Administrator will be granted access to MTD before the April launch.
The Onvio Firm Administrator can then add users who need access to MTD features. To assist with this process, watch the instructional video detailing setting up user access.
