Mapping fixed assets
Mapping connects the fixed assets Chart of Accounts to fixed assets tax accounts and determines how imported fixed assets data flows through to the worksheets in a calculation.
Create a fixed assets mapping
- SelectConfiguration, thenMappings.
- SelectAddto create a fixed assets map.
- Fill out the applicable fields.
- Be sure the map is linked to the Fixed assets Chart of Accounts
- Apply the relevant dataset
- Set the Import Type to Fixed assets,
- SelectOK.
Create a mapping import file
The next step is to prepare the fixed assets map import file.
You can export the complete set of the pre-defined fixed assets
Tax Account Code
from the mapping screen by export. You can use the exported Excel file as the template for the map import.The import file must have two columns:
Account Code
and Tax Account Code
. These columns correspond to Column A and Column B in the exported template. The Account Code
column should include all accounts that require mapping listed in the fixed assets chart of accounts. To map each account, a corresponding tax account code needs to be assigned. Column B in the exported Excel file shows a full list of pre-defined fixed assets Tax account codes.Import the mapping
- Open the map.
- SelectChoose import fileand browse for your fixed assets mapping import file.
- SelectOpento start the import.
- The fixed assets accounts will be mapped to ONESOURCE tax accounts codes on the right-hand side of the mapping panel. The status of the accounts should appear asmapped*. SelectSave.
