Calculations
Copy datasets
You can copy a dataset for multiple reasons, including:
to make amendments to finalized calculations.
to add or remove entities for analysis without changing the group structure in Entity Manager.
for testing purposes.
Use the following steps to copy a dataset.
On the Calculations Management Screen (CMS), tick the checkbox to select the dataset and select
Copy
on the toolbar.
On the Dataset Properties window, specify the period
start dates
,
end dates
, and
purpose
. Select
Next
.
note
If you don't enter a new name, the original dataset will have
Copy of
added to the name.
Editing the
start dates
and
end dates
can impact the calculations if the group structure changes within the new start dates and end dates.
On the Entities window, select or clear entities as needed and select
Next
.
On the Templates window, assign templates to new entities.
note
You can't change the assigned template for an existing entity within the dataset.
Select
Finish
to complete the editing process or select
Next
to add optional sheets.
On the Sheets window, select all optional sheets relevant to the template selected and transfer the selected sheets. Then, select
Finish
to include these sheets in the calculations being created by default.
