E-file a calculation in Australia

Before you begin this process, you must first designate E-Filing Manager as your software provider and define your tax agent settings.
Once you have nominated Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager as the software provider to make secured transmissions using the SBR channel, you can file a return to the Australian Tax Office (ATO).

Filing the Calculation

  1. In ONESOURCE Corporate Tax, open the calculation you want to file.
  2. On the toolbar ribbon, select
    eFile
    .
  3. If prompted, select
    OK
     to save the changes in the calculation.
  4. On tab
    1 | Filings
    , select the checkbox
    Select all
    , then select
    Next
    .
  5. On tab
    2 | Actions
    , select
    Validate
    , then select
    Next
    .
  6. Once the return has been sent to ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager successfully, the Status window opens and displays a confirmation message. Select
    Refresh Status
     to check the status.
  7. Check the status of the listing. The expected status is
    Passed Validation
    .
  8. Relaunch the wizard.
  9. On tab
    2 | Actions
    , select
    File
    , then select
    Next
    .
Once the return has been sent to ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager successfully, the
Status
 tab opens and shows the confirmation message
Queued
.

Validate the Return

Before sending a calculation for e-filing, you can send it for validation.
note
A calculation that was saved after a successful validation must be sent again for validation, then queued for e-filing.
  1. From the ribbon toolbar, relaunch the wizard by selecting
    eFile
    , then
    E-file
    .
  2. On tab
    2 | Actions
    , select
    Validate
    , then select
    NEXT
    .
    Once the return has been sent to ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager successfully, the
    Status
     window opens and displays a confirmation message. Click
    Refresh Status
     to check the status.
  3. On tab 3 | Status, check the status for validation. The expected status is
    Passed Validation
    .
  4. Relaunch the wizard.
  5. On tab
    2 | Actions
    , select
    File
    , then select
    NEXT
    .
    Once the return has been sent to ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager successfully, the
    Status
    window opens and displays a confirmation message. Click
    Refresh Status
     to check the status.
  6. Use the menu in the top left to switch to the ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager application.
  7. Use ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager to file the return. You can then use E-Filing Manager to check the status of the e-file.
