Configure product permissions

Upgrade to the new permissions module

We're rolling out access to the new OCT product permissions in phases. You'll receive a notification to upgrade to the enhanced experience. We recommend reviewing the prerequisites and familiarizing yourself with the interface improvements during adoption.
  1. Prerequisites
    Before upgrading to the new permissions module:
  2. Grant database account access for Thomson Reuters Support:
    1. Sign in to your platform and go to
      Administration
      Setup
      Support Access
      .
    2. Enable
      Account Access for TR Support
      .
    3. Select
      Save
      .
  3. Recommended: Organize users into groups for easier management. Refer to
    Add or edit groups
     in related content for guidance.
    note
    You can also do this after completing the upgrade and activating the new permissions for the database account.
  4. Adopt new product permissions
  5. Select the
    Administration
     tab, go to the
    Product Permissions
     section, and select
    Corporate Tax
    .
  6. Select
    Enhance Permissions
    .
    note
    • The upgrade will occur during off-business hours and weekends.
    • If the upgrade exceeds a day, it will pause and resume based on configured times.
    • During the process, the product permissions page will be read-only.
    • Once completed, the new permissions page will become available,
  7. Post adoption
  8. Verify all permissions are correctly reflected in the new interface.
  9. Continue using new permissions as needed.
