You can select an entity and specify its ownership contribution to one or more groups it belongs to. If not specified, the entity is assumed to contribute 100% to the groups.
note
When an entity is reparented, a confirmation window appears, prompting you to choose whether to retain or clear the ownership contribution records.
The
Ownership%
values are applied when entities consolidate their values up to the groups. The application of percentages during the consolidation process is managed through a configuration defined at the sheet level within templates. If this configuration is missing from the template, the consolidated amounts are calculated without taking the percentages into account. When the templates are updated to include this configuration, the release notes for those specific templates will offer more details.
Go to
Configuration
, then select
Entity Manager
.
Select an entity from the list.
Add the
Ownership%
,
Applicable From
date, and
Applicable To
date.
note
The default record indicates that the entity is part of the group and it can't be deleted. However, you can update the
Ownership%
and
Applicable From
date of the record.
Ownership%
and
Applicable From
are mandatory fields, while the
Applicable To
date is automatically calculated.
You can add up to 25 records to reflect changes in the ownership contribution percentage, with each record having dates that indicate the period during which the percentage is applicable.
You can add multiple records for situations where an entity joins and leaves its group multiple times.
A record with 0% indicates that the entity has exited the group and is no longer contributing to it.
When a new record is added, the
Applicable To
date of the previous record is adjusted to be one day before the
Applicable From
date of the newly added record.
When rows are deleted, the
Applicable To
date of the existing records is adjusted to maintain continuity in the dates.
