Copy and paste journals
Use the following procedure to copy and paste selected journals in the Journals grid.
- Select one or more journals in the Journals grid, then select Copy in the toolbar. (A green alert indicates that the journal was copied successfully.)
- If applicable, select the current period that you would like to paste the journals into from the Settings tab.
- Select Paste in the toolbar and choose one of the following options.
- Paste Original.Pastes identical journal(s) into the Journals grid.
- Paste Reversed. Pastes the journal(s) into the Journals grid with the debit and credit amounts reversed.
- Paste Without Values.Pastes the journal(s) into the Journals grid with the debit and credit amounts value set as 0.00.

- The Copy button is unavailable (greyed) until one or more journals are selected.
- When you select the Copy button, the application notifies you that the item was copied successfully to the clipboard.
- The Paste button is unavailable (greyed) until a journal has been successfully copied.
- It's not possible to copy imported or automatically generated journals, such as Opening Balance journals, as this could cause duplicated values.
