Add a client

Before you start

Make sure you're assigned to a permission group that has Clients enabled.

Create a new client

While you work in Onvio you can add new clients as needed. When you need to choose a client that doesn't exist, select
Add a New Client
or
Add a Client
at the bottom of the list of existing clients.
  1. In Onvio Centre, select
    Setup
    , then
    Clients
    .
  2. Select
    Add
    .
  3. Enter an
    ID
    and
    Name
    .
  4. Choose the
    Entity Type
    for the client.
  5. Optionally, you can mark the client as confidential, add relationships and grant Client Centre access to the client.
    note
    • Only Individuals can have access to Onvio Client Centre. Add an individual contact as a relationship, then grant them Client Centre access on behalf of the client.
    • Each email address must be unique for the associated contact.
  6. Select
    Save
    when you're finished.

Create a new Client from an Existing Contact

  1. In Onvio Centre, select
    Setup
    , then
    Clients
    .
  2. Select
    Add
    .
  3. Enter an
    ID
    .
  4. Above the Name field, select
    Select Existing Contact
    .
  5. Select the Contact, then select
    Save
    .
  6. Select
    Save
    again.
