Add annotations to text within a document

Use these steps to highlight specific text in a document and save a note that refers to your selection.

Select a word, phrase, or section in a document.

To apply a highlight with a note:

Select a colour from the Add a note
row.

Enter your note and apply formatting.

Select Save
, then OK
.

Practical Law adds the highlight colour you chose the selected text and a note icon in the margin.

To view, edit, delete, or share the note, select the note icon.

When you Download
, Print
, or Email
the document, you can choose whether to include your notes.
