Get ready to sign in — activate a registration key using your OnePass profile

Before you sign in to Practical Law for the first time, you'll need to activate a registration key by adding it to your Thomson Reuters OnePass profile.
We'll send you the registration key by email. When you get it, take the following steps to add the key to your existing OnePass profile, or create a new profile and add your key to it.
note
  • Your registration key is a code unique to you.
  • You can only use your key with a single OnePass profile.
  • You may have multiple keys for Practical Law, which give you different levels of access.
  1. Go to Practical Law and select
    Sign in
     or select the
    Register
     link from the email.
  2. If you already have a OnePass profile, go to step
    4
    .
  3. If you don't have a OnePass profile, create a profile and add your registration key to it:
    1. Select
      Create OnePass Profile
      .
    2. Enter your Practical Law registration key from the email we sent to you.
    3. Enter a
      Custom label
       so that you'll remember what this Registration key is for.

      A
      Custom label
       helps you identify the Registration key you want to use to sign in to Practical Law. You may have more than 1 key. Each key may be for a different purpose and grant you different access to Practical Law. Enter a short label that you'll recognise when you sign in.
    4. Enter your email address that you want to link with this OnePass profile.
    5. Select
      Continue
      .
    6. Enter your username, password, and security question information.
      note
      If the email address you've entered is already linked to an existing OnePass profile, you'll get a '
      registration complete
      ' message. Select
      Continue to Practical Law
       to sign in.
  4. To add a registration key to your existing OnePass Profile:
    1. On the
      Practical Law sign in page
      , select
      Update OnePassProfile
      .
    2. Sign in to
      OnePass
      .
    3. Select
      Register a product
      .
    4. Enter the registration key from your email.
    5. Enter a
      Custom label
       so that you'll remember what this registration key is for.

       helps you identify the registration key you want to use to sign in to Practical Law. You may have more than 1 key. Each key may be for a different purpose and grant you different access to Practical Law. Enter a short label that you will understand later when you sign in.
    6. Select
      Save
      .
    7. Select
      Back to Practical Law UK
      .
You can now sign in to Practical Law with your OnePass profile.
