Use the Ask service

Ask our experienced team any question within the scope of Practical Law content, view answers to other questions from your peers, and reply to questions yourself.
  1. Go to Browse Menu,
    UK Resources
    , and use the
    Search bar
     or list of practice areas to check if we've already answered your question.
  2. To ask a question:
    1. Select
      Ask a question
       on any page.
    2. Review and agree to the Terms of use and Ask scope and rules.
    3. Enter your question, choose the
      Jurisdiction
       and
      Answering service
      , then select
      Submit
      . 
  3. To reply to a question:
    1. Open the question.
    2. Enter your reply.
      important
      • Don't ask for details from the person asking the question.
      • Give general information about the topic. Don't give legal advice.
    3. Mark the checkbox to show you've read and agreed the rules.
    4. Before you select
      Submit
      , make sure the
      Display your name and organisation
       checkbox is cleared if you want to remain anonymous.
    note
    • We may moderate and edit your reply.
    • Practical Law doesn't have a Delete function for replies.
