Multiple Filters

When applying multiple filters to a lookup, you can leverage the
Enable Multiple Filters
option which allows you to apply all of your filter options prior to the screen refreshing to return data.
This can be especially valuable when working with Lookup Docks that have a large volume of data returned as the screen does not refresh to pull data between the setting of each Filter criteria.
To leverage Multiple Filters functionality:
  1. Check the
    Enable Multiple Filters
    box.
    important
When the Enable Multiple Filters option is unchecked, the Apply Multiple Filters option will be disabled, as this button can only be used when applying multiple filters. When checking the Enable Multiple Filters option, the Apply Multiple Filters button will become enabled, but you will want to apply your column filters before clicking Apply Multiple Filters.
  2. Apply column filters as described earlier within the user guide. You can apply filters to as many columns as you would like while the Apply Multiple Filters is enabled.
    • While in the process of applying filters, the grid will not pull back updated results based on those filters, saving you time to apply additional filter options
    • Please note that you will see a
      Set Filter
      option instead of
      Filter
as when using multiple filters, as the filter will not be applied immediately to the data within the grid. You are setting the filter to be applied later when clicking on Apply Multiple Filters.
  3. When all column filters have been added, click on
    Apply Multiple Filters
. It is at this point the filters will be applied to the data within the grid and results will be returned based on all the column filters added in.
  4. If more filters are required, you can simply add more column filters as needed.
To return to regular filtering column-by-column, simply uncheck the
Enable Multiple Filters
option. When unchecked, each time you set a filter on a column, the screen will refresh and updated the grid data results based on that filter.
Tool Tips are available onscreen to assist in understanding this functionality. When hovering over the Enable Multiple Filters option, a Tool Tip will show to describe the functionality in detail:
A ToolTip will also show upon hovering over the
Apply Multiple Filters
to clearly explain this functionality.
