Alternate Process for COVE

COVE Answer Archive Load

If COVE was not processed inside ONESOURCE IMMEX, it is still possible to load the COVE Answer File. In this scenario, the invoice or invoice relation must have a
Prevalidation Complete
status within the
Work With Invoices
screen.
  1. Hover over the downward facing arrow in the second leftmost column and select
    Representative for COVE
from the menu to open the
    Representative for COVE
pop-up, which contains all available representative options.
  2. Click on the drop-down, select a representative, and then click
    Save
    .
  3. The system will then update the value of the
    COVE Representative
field. Check the invoice’s corresponding box on the far left and select
    Import COVE Result File
from the top of the screen to open a pop-up where you can locally search for the required file.
  4. Choose and select the answer file, and then click
    Upload
    .
Clicking “Upload” will trigger the system to load the Answer File. Once this process is complete, the invoice’s status will change to
Pending Close
.

    Save
    .

    COVE Manual Entry
    to open the
    COVE Manual Entry
    pop-up.
  5. Enter the following required information and then click
    Save
    .
  • Operation Number

  • COVE Message
The Invoice Status will update to
Pending Close
. It will now be possible to print the invoices, consolidated announcement, and COVE Previous Report.
important
COVE Manual Entry, send COVE directly to VUCEM, and COVE Result Archive Import may or may not be available in the system, depending on how it was configured. If your system currently does not have (but needs) these options, please reach out to IntegrationPoint@ThomsonReuters.com

  • The system is unable to obtain the COVE Number or an e-document of the transmissions performed in VUCEM.
  • Customs cannot consult the COVEs or e-documents in the VUCEM portal.
  • SAAI cannot identify the COVE or e-documents.
This process can be executed for any invoice or invoice relation with a status of Prevalidation Complete.
To begin this process.
  1. Open the invoice submenu and select the
    Representative for COVE
    option to open the
    Representative for COVE
pop-up, which contains all available representative options.
  2. Click on the drop-down, select a

    , and then click
    Save

  3. The system will then update the value of the Representative for COVE field.
  4. Reopen the invoice submenu and select
    COVE Contingency
    .
  5. A confirmation pop-up will appear on the screen. Click
    OK
    to proceed.
By this time you can print invoices, consolidated announcement and COVE previous report.
