Expiration by Document Code

The
MX Expiration by Document Code
screen will be used to calculate the temporality of pedimentos based on the options explained below and these dates will be also used to affect the inventory during the FIFO process. The screen contains a grid showing the temporality (expiration) of all pedimentos in the system. They can be sorted by any of the following categories:
Sorting categories
Description
Pedimento Code
Enter the corresponding Pedimento Code.
Months of Expiration
Enter the Pedimento Code temporality used.
Priority Flag
  • Y
    :
    The system will use this expiration information for reports and/or pedimento temporality calculations.
  • N
    :
    The system will not use this expiration information for reports and/or pedimento temporality calculations.

ONESOURCE IMMEX has four options for entering pedimento temporalities:
  1. Expiration by Document Type (additional information on next page).
  2. Expiration by Part Number (additional information on Item Master/Parts Catalog).
  3. Expiration by Mexican HTS Number (additional information on Mexican [HTS] Tariffs).
  4. Expiration by Company (additional information on Company Maintenance).
If the priority flag is defined as ā€˜N’ in the
Expiration By Document Code
screen, it means that the system will check the following sequence bellow:
  1. MX HTS Codes screen
    If the
    Months of Expiration
    field of this screen is different of 0, then the product classification has a specific expiration. If is equals to 0, then goes to the next validation.
  2. Company Maintenance screen
    If the
    Months of Expiration
    field on the MX Info tab of the company registration screen is different of 0, then the supplier has a specific expiration. If is equals to 0, then goes to the next validation.
  3. Item
    Master screen
    If the
    Months of Expiration
    field on the
    Additional Tables
    tab of this screen is different of 0, then the Item has a specific expiration. If is equals to 0, then the system will use what is defined on the
    Months of Expiration
    field on
    Expiration By Document Code
    screen.
Adding a New Record
To add a new record, click on
Add Record
.
A row of read/write fields will appear. Enter all the required information and then click
Insert
.
Editing an Existing Record
To edit an existing record, choose a record from the grid and click on its corresponding
Edit
button.
Make any necessary changes and then click
Update
.
Deleting an Existing Record
To delete an existing record, choose a record from the grid and click on its corresponding
Delete
button.
A confirmation pop-up will appear on the screen. Click
OK
to proceed with the deletion.
