Registering Companies: IMMEX & Sub-manufacturing (Transfer Notice)

To start the sub-manufacturing process:
  • The IMMEX company must be registered with the proper Mexican authorities.
  • The IMMEX company must register the sub-manufacturing companies that will be carrying out their complementary processes.

Registering a New Company (IMMEX or Sub-Manufacturer)

To register a company (IMMEX or Sub-Manufacturer).
  1. Open the
    MX Transfer Notice
    screen.
  2. Click on the drop-down above the grid and select
    Plants/Warehouse
    .
  3. Click
    New
    .
  4. Clicking
    New
    will open the “Maintain” pop-up, which contains the fields listed below.
Fields
Description
Company
The name of the IMMEX or Sub-Manufacturing company.
Plant Code
The local, plant, or warehouse code. This will be defined by each company.
Type of Origin Program
The type of company program being transferred.
  • IMMEX Company
    :
    Enter “IM”.
  • Sub-Manufacturer
    :
    Leave this field blank.
Representative
The agent or Customs representative that will update the item catalog.
Start Date
The effective start date.
Final Date
The final date of validity.
Type of Address
  • 1
    :
    Warehouse
  • 2
    :
    Floor
  • 3
    :
    Local
Street
The Company’s Street Number.
Interior Number
The Company’s Interior Number.
Exterior Number
The Company’s Exterior Number.
Federal Entity
The Federal Entity key for the domicile.
Municipality
The Municipality key.
Description
This field is optional and will not be included in the shipping file. It can be left blank or used for adding comments or observations as reference.
After all applicable fields have been completed, click
Save Header
.
After
Save Data
has been clicked, the system will create a record for the company. This record will have a status of
ENTERED
and be available for review in the
MX Transfer Notice
screen.

Generating/Creating a Shipping File for IMMEX/Sub-Manufacturer Authorization

The next step in this process involves generating or creating a shipping file so the company can be authorized.
To create a shipping file.
  1. Choose a company record within the
    Transfer Notice
    grid and hover over the downward facing arrow on the left.
  2. Once the option menu appears, select
    Create File
    .
If the system can successfully process the command, a shipping file will be created and the status will change to
AUTHSENT
(Request for Authorization Sent).
If the system could not successfully process the command, an error message will appear on the screen. Should this occur, reach out to IntegrationPoint@ThomsonReuters.com.
  1. After a response file is received, go to the
    Process Result Files
    screen.
  2. On this screen, select
    Transfer Notice File Results
    from the drop-down list and then click
    Upload Result File
    .
  3. Choose the answer file that corresponds to the sending file. The system will then perform any corresponding validations.
If no errors occur during the file loading process, the
Apply
button will become available.
If the result file type is
VALIDATION ACKNOWLEDGMENT
, clicking
Apply
will apply the corresponding changes. The record will update to an
AUTH
(Authorized) status, making it possible to start operations with this company.
If the result file type is
ERROR
, the system will update the status of the record to
AUTHERR
(Authorization Error).
In this scenario, go back to
Maintain
, make any necessary corrections, and resubmit the shipping file for authorization.
