Form MI-4976 print requirements

To print form MI-4976, Michigan Home Heating Credit Claim MI-1040CR-7 Supplemental:
  1. Make sure Form MI-1040CR-7 prints, as Form MI-4976 is a supplemental schedule for that form:
    1. Go to
      Tax Forms
      States
      Michigan
      . Select
      Resident
       or
      Part-year Resident/Nonresident
      .
    2. Select
      MI-1040CR-7 - Home Heating Credit
      .
    3. Go to the
      Page 2
       tab.
    4. Make sure there is an amount in
      Line 47
       and the amount is not overridden.
    To turn on the force print option:
    1. Go to
      Organizer
      States
      Michigan
      .
    2. Select
      Home Heating Credit
      .
    3. Make sure the
      Print Form MI-1040CR-7 if credit is NONE
       checkbox is marked.
  2. Make sure the number of dependents is greater than 4:
    1. Go to
      Organizer
      States
      Michigan
      Credits
      .
    2. Select
      Home Heating Credit
      .
    3. Go to the
      Dependent Information (Override)
       and
      Other Household Members
       sections.
    4. Make sure that the total number of dependents listed in these 2 sections is more than 4.
  3. Do a full recompute, then print.
If the form doesn’t print, make sure the correct extension option is selected:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Payments and Extensions
    Extensions
    .
  2. Go to the
    State Options and Payments
     tab.
  3. Make sure
    option 1
     or
    option 2
     isn't selected for
    Michigan
    .
  4. Do a full recompute, then print.
