Error: The field 'GainOrLoss' with value, data format is not correct
This e-file validation error occurs on California Schedule D-1 when the GainOrLoss field contains a dash character instead of a numeric value. The issue stems from "None" entries in the Allowable Suspended Ordinary Loss section.

- Find theORDINARY INCOME SUMMARYwork paper,
- Find the entryNonein the activity grid, then right-click and selectRelated.
- SelectALLOWABLE SUSPENDED ORDINARY LOSS SCH D-1 - 3801and remove all entries forNone.
- If "NONE" still shows on the form Line 10, select the field and use a Space to delete it.
- Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
