Findability improvements

  • When you perform a search on an article page, you'll now only see results for the product you're in, rather than all of the products in your region.
  • We changed how URLs appear in our sitemaps to reflect the actual URL. This improves search engine optimization (SEO) for search engines outside Thomson Reuters, such as Google, Bing, etc.

Browse micro experience

  • We added the ability to hide certain pages from the browse experience, like search results pages.
  • We fixed an issue where pages without children in the browse tree weren't clickable.

IPX (in-app help) improvements

  • We made it easier to update the configuration for the search box, so any changes are made in real-time.
  • You can now perform an empty search, meaning you can select the search icon without first entering a keyword.
  • We changed the "Contact us" information in GoSystem Tax RS and ONESOURCE Income Tax Express RS to link to a page with the most up-to-date information.
  • We significantly reduced the amount of time it takes for changes to the IPX to be reflected.

Readability improvements

We adjusted the font size for the "definition list" element so that it's the same size as the rest of the text on the page.

Saffronizing our experience

We continue our trek in aligning with our Saffron design system. In this release we:
  • Applied Saffron styling to the "Recommended for you" (also known as "This week's trending topics") component on the product landing pages.
  • We adjusted the position of the back to top button so it doesn't overlap with other items on the page, like the chat now button.
note
Saffron's a system of design standards and reusable elements to help us build user experiences that look, feel, and behave more consistently. This helps Thomson Reuters look unified across our digital experiences and products.
