Robert Buergenthal is senior director, International Strategy for Thomson Reuters Government Affairs. He serves as senior advisor and partner to international governmental leaders to optimize performance, expand business opportunities, and attain customer satisfaction.
Robert assists drive key business initiatives by providing thought leadership and guidance to cross-organizational efforts involving donor agencies and international government offices and agencies. He has worked in international program design and implementation for more than 25 years, specializing in governance and justice sector development worldwide.
Robert most recently served as Thomson Reuters senior director International Strategy Tax and Accounting, Government International and previously worked with Landesa-Rural Development Institute, the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), The World Bank, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Chemonics International, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
He received his B.A., summa cum laude and J.D. from the University of Minnesota.
