Environmental, Social and Governance Performance

At Thomson Reuters, we are committed to creating shared value for our customers, employees and the communities in which we work. This includes respecting and protecting the environment and collectively we refer to this as our Corporate Responsibility profile.

Corporate Responsibility is something which we work to embed in our business; it is not a bolt on to our commercial activities and we are committed to being open and transparent about our performance in this area. We use a range of metrics to ensure that our programs make progress and deliver real results. One set of metrics used to drive our performance is environmental, social and governance (ESG) data from ASSET 4, a Thomson Reuters business which provides ESG data on over 5,000 companies.

ESG information can provide insights to how a business is performing across Corporate Responsibility activities and can point to the longer term sustainability of a business.

Overall ESG Score

The Equal-Weighted Rating is an example of how a company's financial and extra-financial health can be equally weighted based on the information in ASSET4's economic, environmental, social and corporate governance pillars. It reflects a balanced view of a company's performance in these four areas.
