President of Financial & Risk, Thomson Reuters
David Craig joined the company in 2007, serving first as Chief Strategy Officer of Thomson Reuters. In 2010 he became founder and President of our Governance, Risk & Compliance business, and in 2012 he assumed his current role of President of the Financial & Risk business division, a unit which represents US$6.2 billion in revenue with operations in over 150 countries.
Previously, David was with McKinsey & Company where he was a Partner in the Global Business Technology Office, advising banks and technology and media companies. Prior to McKinsey, he was a Senior Principal at American Management Systems, building trading and risk software. He started his career in manufacturing engineering.
David is an industry thought leader on technology, innovation and regulation and has been ranked consistently in the ‘top 15 global leaders and innovators in financial services technology’ by Institutional Investor Magazine over the past 5 years. This year he ranked number seven.
David has an engineering degree in electronics and communications from the University of Bristol. He is on the board of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the corporate board of Great Ormond Street Hospital charity and the advisory boards of the Atlantic Council and TheCityUK.
