Create a document from a Contract Express template

Once you have set up your templates, you can create a document using the templates you have created.

Creating a document using a Contract Express template

Using the site that you have set up Contract Express in, navigate to
Files
.
Within
Files
, select
New
>
Document from Template
.
The
New document from template
screen opens.
In the
New document from template
screen, all of the existing templates you have permission to view are displayed.
Select which template you wish to use to create your document, and select
Next
.

Create a new document

The
New document from template
opens the Contract Express questionnaire.
The screen displayed here will list questions you must answer to populate the document with information.
There is a progress bar to the top left of the screen, which fills as you progress through the questionnaire.
In addition, you have the following options available:
  • Preview
    - view the current state of the document as you answer questions
  • View
    - view the document as it would be seen by a standard user (without author permissions)
  • Save & Close
    - save and generate a document based on the answers provided
  • More actions
    (Three dots) - this list provides options to
    Download
    answers from, or
    Upload
    answers to, the document
  • Save & Continue
    - save your current progress and continue to answer questions
  • and
    (previous and next arrows)
    - move to the previous or next page of questions
Answer each question in the questionnaire, click
Save & Continue
to move through each page.
Once you have got to the final page of the questionnaire, you will have the option to
Save & Close
as displayed above.
Your answers will be saved and your document generated. You will be taken back to the files screen, where your document or folder containing all documents generated, will be available.
Click on the file to view the details of the generated document(s). Within the generated document(s), there will be a
Contract Express
tab available to view, to give you more details.
Within this tab, you will have access to the specific data that was added to the document as a result of the user answering the questionnaire. For more information on what else you can do with a file, click here for the Contract Express help centre.
Edit Questionnaire
Once you have completed your questionnaire, if you think you have made an error or wish to update information that you have provided, you can edit the questionnaire.
