Administrators: Single-Sign On tips

If you're currently using Single-Sign On (SSO), then you may need to take additional steps during the migration. Here are a few things to consider:
  1. Change your account linking or mapping
    • Account linking and mapping gets replaced by the Thomson Reuters Account email mapping model.
    • Before starting the upgrade process, you'll need to make sure your SSO connection uses an email address instead of a Network ID, Employee ID, or other identifier.
  2. Coordinate with Your Identity Provider (IdP)
    • Ensure your IdP sends the correct email address as the Name ID or Subject during sign-in.
      • You can also include first and last names in addition to the email.
    • After verifying your IdP settings, contact Thomson Reuters Professional Services.
  3. Update SSO Connections
    Contact TR Professional Services to:
    • Reserve your domain in Thomson Reuters settings.
    • Set up or update your SSO connection for the Thomson Reuters Account requirements.
    • Verify that email attributes are correctly mapped in your IdP configuration.
  4. Communicate URL Changes
    • If your users use IdP-initiated SSO (signing in from your company portal), the URLs may change.
    • Let your users know if anything changes so they can update their bookmarks.
  5. Bypass SSO (if needed)
    • You can still allow certain users to bypass SSO using a dedicated sign-in link.
    • This needs to be configured by going to
      Admin
      Setup
      SSO Exemptions
      .
