Use the Reconciliation Adjustment screens

There are 3 reconciliation adjustments screens available. When you enter transactions in these screens, the application records them in the correct tab in the reconciliation screen (based on the
Adjustment Type
) and automatically marks them as cleared.
Select
Actions
then
Reconcile Bank Accounts
or
Actions
then
Reconcile Impound Bank Accounts
and then open any of the following adjustment screens:
  • Reconciliation Adjustment
    screen. Use this screen to enter an adjustment for the current reconciliation. To access this screen, select the
    Account Summary
    tab, then select
    Adjustment
    in the Reconciliation Adjustment section.
  • Recurring Adjustments
    screen. Use this screen to enter adjustments that are made each reconciliation, whether the amount is the same each time or not. To access this screen, select
    Edit
    then
    Recurring Adjustments
    .
  • Non-recurring Adjustments
    screen. Use this screen to enter any 1-time adjustments for the current reconciliation. Items such as an unexpected service charge would be entered here. To access this screen, select
    Edit
    then
    Non-recurring Adjustments
    .

Adjustments grid

Use the
Delete
icon to remove rows from the grid (or highlight the row, and use the delete key on your keyboard). Use the arrow buttons to change the order of the rows by moving them up or down.
Enter or select the appropriate GL account number for the transaction. The dropdown contains all accounts used by the selected client.
Enter a description (up to 100 characters) for the transaction.
Enter the amount of the adjustment transaction. (For recurring adjustments, if the amount may change with each reconciliation, you can leave the
Amount
field blank.)
Select the transaction type from the dropdown. The transaction type determines where the transaction will be recorded.
Check and Payment
types will be recorded in the
Checks & Payments
tab and
Deposit and Addition
types will be recorded in the
Deposits & Additions
tab.
