The library is organized into categories that contain topics essential for tax practice. You can open the full topic, which contains all related subtopics, or open individual subtopics on their own. Each topic includes:
  • About the Author(s)
  • Introduction
  • Quick Look (this is always topic number 000, such as 102:000)
  • Background (this is always topic number 050, such as 102:050)
  • Subtopics (Subtopics start at number 100, such as 102:100)
  • State information (if available, these start at number 1000, such as 102:1000)
  • Individual state subtopics (if available, these have the two-letter state abbreviation following the topic number, such as 102CA:1000)
Topics can also have document assembly tools, multi-jurisdictional tax tools (such as Charts), diagrams, an practical examples embedded in the main content. Use the Context panel to view a high-level overview, jump to certain sections of the topic, view and go to all tools available in the topic, and see related content and developments.
