Verify AI-generated responses

AI-Assisted Research uses a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) approach. This means it grounds its responses in Thomson Reuters Checkpoint content, providing source citations for transparency. Checkpoint editorial content is thoroughly supported by references to primary law authorities, including the Internal Revenue Code, IRS/Treasury Regulations, IRS Rulings & Releases, judicial decisions, and more.
While AI-Assisted Research should be part of your research process, it isn't a substitute for thorough research. Always verify the accuracy of statements in the AI response, especially when understanding full nuances is important.
Citation references let you verify the AI-generated response. Citation references link to the full text of the cited Checkpoint source document and provide a text snippet showing the specific part of the passage used in the response. While it may rephrase the content, you can check the accuracy using these snippets without reviewing the full-text documents. You can also select the reference material if you'd like to read to full-text document.
Some sentences in the AI response may lack citations. The absence of a citation could indicate a higher chance of error. As a best practice, review these statements more carefully. While the AI response might still be correct, it's wise to consult the Checkpoint reference documents provided alongside the AI response.
