System requirements for PPC products

The following are the minimum hardware and software requirements for Checkpoint Tools for PPC, SMART Practice Aids and SMART Single Audit. While these products may operate in an environment below these specs, it will likely not perform at a level suitable for the type of professional production work you'll be doing in the program.

Hardware requirements

  • Intel Core I3 processors
  • 2.0+ GHz or higher CPU
  • 4GB RAM or higher
  • 200 MB hard disk space
  • SVGA monitor - 256 colors minimum and 1024 x 768 resolution or higher

Software requirements

We support 64-bit versions of:
  • Windows 11
  • Windows 10
  • SQL Server 2022 Express
PPC products also require Microsoft Office (32-bit or 64-bit version*):
  • Office 2019
  • Office 2016
  • Office 2013
* We support 64-bit but Microsoft strongly recommends you use 32-bit versions of Office because it helps prevent compatibility issues with other applications, especially 3rd party add-ins that may not be available in 64-bit. If you do choose to use 64-bit, you'll need Checkpoint Tools Framework version 5.0.21 or later.

If you're using Citrix:
  • Citrix XenApp 6.5
  • Citrix XenApp 6
PPC's SMART Practice Aids provide advanced functionality to PPC's Practice Aids audit and accounting products. Therefore, you'll need to have one or more of those products licensed and installed.
The SMART Single Audit module also requires Checkpoint Tools Framework for PPC. If you don't own one of the Checkpoint Tools products, contact Technical Support for assistance.
